    Biggest restaurant fundraiser on Thursday, March 24 to benefit 18,000 British Columbians living with HIV/AIDS

    Dining Out For Life, runs all day Thursday, March 24, for breakfast, lunch and dinner at a record 242 Dining Out For Life restaurants from Whistler to White Rock and across the Fraser Valley.

    WHAT: Dining Out For Life has set a $200,000 fundraising target this year. 25% of food sales on March 24 will support people living with HIV/AIDS through Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful.

    WHEN: All day, Thursday March 24, for breakfast, lunch and dinner WHERE: 242 participating restaurants in the Lower Mainland and Whistler. See the

    WHY: About 18,000 British Columbians are now living with HIV/AIDS. Dining Out For Life benefits Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful who provide invaluable services to people living with HIV/AIDS. A couple spending $140 at a Dining Out For Life restaurant will provide meals for 10 people through Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful.

    About the Performers
    Mick (Michael Dalla-Vicenza) was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. His musical career brought him out west (his father let him drop out of high school to do so) and ultimately had him settle in Vancouver where he presently makes his home. Along with many studio sessions, Mick received a gold album reward for his studio work with Canadian band ‘Trooper’ as well as an ‘album of the year’ award from Saskatchewan Canada for a song he contributed and played on in 1997. Mick also contributed vocals for the Motley Crue multi-platinum album, ‘A Decade of Decadence’. At this writing, (2010) his voice can currently be heard in the hit movie ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ (Motley Crue soundtrack). Aside from making a career in music as a live performer, in the studio and as a solo artist, Mick has been Canadian legend Randy Bachman’s bass player/vocalist for the past decade. He also plays guitar and 8 string bass for the reunited Bachman & Turner (formerly Bachman, Turner Overdrive) for their ‘Forged in Rock’ worldwide tour. The band’s current singles, Rollin Along and Slave to the Rhythm are in high rotation across North America and Europe. Mick continues to write, record and produce for many local and international artists alike with his ‘Millennia Sound Design’ production house…Most recent credits including performing with Bachman & Turner in this years Grey Cup half-time show and playing in New York with Paul Shaffer from Late Night  with David Letterman.

    Tom was Musical Director for The Rocky Horror Show. Red Rock Diner, and Cheatin’ Hearts (Jessie Nomination) at Arts Club Theatre, Forever Plaid at the Starlight Theatre, and All Grown Up at Richmond Gateway Theatre. Stage credits in Vancouver include the roles of Tommy in Brigadoon and Lt. Cable in South Pacific for Royal City Musical Theatre, Billy in Carousel at Theatre Under the Stars, and Roy in A Closer Walk with Roy Orbison at Richmond Gateway Theatre.

    Tom composed or co-wrote all the music featured on the CBC Special The Western Alienation Comedy Hour, numerous tunes on his debut CD The Turning, his original children’s album Real Live Music (nominated for a West Coast Music Award), and his songs have been recorded and performed by Charlotte Diamond and Fred Penner. Tom co-wrote with his father Lloyd Arntzen the children’s musical Cinderella In King Arthur’s Court. Tom has written music for the films Double Lo-Fat Latte, The Touch, The Stories Inside and Searching For Balance.
    As a studio musician ,he has played keyboards and sang on sessions produced by Kat Hendrikse and Michael Conway Baker for the Nostalgia Network in the U.S.

  • Vancouver International Boat Show

    VANCOUVER, BC – The results of an exciting new design partnership between one of Canada’s best known fashion designers and two boat industry icons will be unveiled during day one at the 2011 Vancouver International Boat Show, returning February 9th to 13th at its new venue, the Vancouver Convention Centre.

    Just in time for this year’s Show, Vancouver based Jason Dussault, President and Designer of Dussault Apparel Inc., will create a custom design wrap, embroidered interior, and custom metal work for a champion towboat offered by Centurion World Championship Towboats and distributed through award-winning boat dealer, Breakwater Marine.

    “We couldn’t be more excited to announce this new design partnership with Dussault because we know that Centurion and Dussault customers share a common passion for action sports,” says Brett Potts of Centurion. Aaron Fell from Breakwater Marine adds, “Centurion has always been an innovation leader in the boating industry and this design partnership is another of their ahead of the pack thinking.”

    “Dussault is all about ‘living fast’ so it’s a great fit for us,” says Jason Dussault. “We are looking forward to the joint promotional opportunities in the year ahead. And with its visitors who are so passionate about the boating lifestyle, the Vancouver International Boat Show was the obvious choice for the unveiling of this first set of new products.”

    The custom one-of-a-kind Dussault Centurion ENZO watercraft, valued at $150,000.00, will be sold to the highest bidder by the end of the Show, with partial proceeds benefiting Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and the Make A Wish Foundation.  As part of the design project, Dussault will also be creating two custom life jackets and a custom surfboard wrap.  These items will be on display throughout the show and then awarded to lucky show attendees through a random draw.

    Jason Dussault is the President, Designer and Founder of Dussault Apparel where he designs high-end street wear that is distinctively edgy, eminently wearable, and in demand.  Often referred to as “The Hoodie King,” Jason is best known for his custom and limited edition hoodies. In addition to Dussault Apparel, his design lines include Gene Simmons MoneyBag, Vanity, and DEUCE Custom Ink. Jason has designed the world¹s most expensive denim jeans, which auctioned for $250,000.00; created designs for Indy Cars and Flow Snowboards; and created merchandising logos and apparel for Criss Angel’s “Believe” Cirque du Soleil show.
