  • Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Gala

The 5th Annual Christmas on the Shore was held at the Beach House Restaurant in West Vancouver. The night was full of sparkle and good cheer as guests came together to donate to this very worthwhile charity which has, for over 60 years, provided education, support and counselling to families in need across the North Shore community. Thanks to the generosity of the Fuller family (of Earls fame).

  • Family Services Christmas on the North Shore

North Shore Family Services is known for its outreach and for the many programs it runs to help families all across our community. They also provide especially important services over the holidays, including the North Shore Christmas Bureau campaign which helps ensure that no child goes without during this special season. Last week, the Fuller family graciously donated use of the Beach House restaurant in West Vancouver to hold an important fund raising evening. Guests paid a suggested $500 donation to attend and all of the funds raised go to support the Christmas Bureau program. Big thanks to committee members Karen Bruk, Charlene Dalton, Marie Genest, Susan Green, Coryn Hemsley, Carlota Lee, Susan MacDonald, Janice O’Sullivan, Cindy Pasco, Monica Soprovich, Lisa Stout, Coleen Weir and Christy Young.

  • Family Services of North Shore Christmas Celebration

For over 60 years now, Family Services of the North Shore has been raising money and helping people in our community. Out of work, family distress, counselling and more are all part of what they provide to people in need. Needless to say, the holidays are an extra special time and being there to support families is very important. That’s why the great people at Family Services created the Christmas Bureau section just for this very cause. Last week, at a special “Christmas on the Shore” event, VIP guests and supporters donated $1,000 per couple and came out to enjoy an evening together at The Beach House restaurant in West Vancouver. Thanks to the generosity of the Fuller family (who are owners at the Beach House), everything this night was donated to this cause, including five-star food and more. A live auction this night also included amazing gifts like a Ross Penhall original artwork, an iPhone 5 and a corporate box for the upcoming Lady Gaga concert. Congrats to everyone involved.

    Beach House New Year 2009

Let’s raise a glass to old and new, and all the things we say and do. Sometimes, it passes oh so fast – but thanks to photos, it can last. The parties, full of fun and cheer – helped us ring in a brand new New Year. And the faces say it all so well, plus there’s always a great tale to tell. So thank you for your smiles so bright, and inviting me to share each night. Without you it would be a bore – but life is good on our North Shore. So here’s a toast to both yours and mine – and all the best in 2009. (more…)
