The Vancouver Aquarium's signature gala fundraiser, Night at the Aquarium, was making waves last week as over 500 guests and one special V.I.B. - Very Important Beluga - were the toast of the town. The show stealing birth of a female calf to Qila on June 10th was all the talk as patrons wined and dined on fabulous food from signature Vancouver restaurants and were treated to a night of aquatic delights and maternal insights at this wonderful sea-and-be-scene event that raised over $300,000. Also last week, members of the Yaletown Lions Club welcomed international VIPs and dignitaries at the Black and White Gala. Catered by the Opus Hotel at the Vancouver Library, this elegant event was held in support of Yaletown House, an extended care facility for the elderly. Concord Pacific was also honored with an Award of Merit for their contributions to the neighbourhood. And finally, a big shout out to the gang at Blo Blow Dry Bar on the opening of their third location in the Four Seasons hotel. Even Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall had a peek in at the new hot pink palace. Congrats Jon Paul Holt - you finally got your hands on the biggest hair in town - wink.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.
If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph.
