At first I thought I was seeing things as six Marilyn Monroe-esque beauties strutted the streets in Shaughnessy. Then I arrived at the door of Lululemon's Old Hollywood style, 7th annual Flip Flop Soiree - and everything made sense. High hairdos, boas and bow ties were the order of the night as guests dressed the part and dined on delectables provided by Cactus Club Cafe. Over the past seven years, the soiree has helped raise over $400,000 for InspireHealth, Canada’s leading not-for-profit integrated cancer care center. And speaking of fabulous outdoor parties, the members of the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club celebrated with one of their local traditions and annual bash - the Rio de Janeiro Pool Party 2008. Vancouver's beautiful people and celebs are a mainstay here - and singing star, and local Vancouver hunk Michael Buble, even made a surprise appearance making the ladies drool as things got hot by the pool.
