I remember ten years ago when the very first Leo Awards ceremony was held. It was the first time in British Columbia that local actors, writers, producers and techs were honoured so sincerely, and so glamorously, by their peers in an Academy Awards style celebration. A decade later, and the tradition continues stronger than ever thanks to two very special men - producers Walter Daroshin and Sonny Wong - who will be among the first to tell you that achieving this milestone has been no easy task. Their tireless commitment and dedication to the industry is unparalleled. More than 7,300 entries have been submitted over the years - a number that in and of itself is a testament to the depth of talent we produce in this province. To you Sonny and Walter, I say a personal thank you for bringing both Hollywood status and Oscar style glamour to our town. It was an honour to be there in the very beginning, and it was an honour to be there again this year to take part in the anniversary celebration of a lifetime.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.
If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks. |
