Emmy-award winning actor John Larroquette, best known for playing the lovable pervert Dan Fielding on tv's Night Court, headlined the 25th Anniversary Gala Fundraiser for the Turning Pont Recovery Society at Vancouver's Four Seasons Hotel last Thursday. The New Orleans born star, who now appears on Boston Legal, was both entertaining and captivating as he shared his bittersweet story about alcoholism and the fight to recover. Co-hosted by Global TV weekend anchor Robin Stickley, the gala dinner was preceded by a special VIP reception where Larroquette proved himself to be a most gracious and gregarious personality. Also hosting VIPs this week were the folks behind the BMO Bank of Montreal Vancouver Marathon. The Hotel Le Soleil and Copper Chimney restaurant served up cocktails and kudos for international guests and local sponsors as they acknowledged their involvement and thanked them for their support in making sure everything was ready, set and go, for Sunday's successful race.
