Holt Renfrew's annual Arts Umbrella Fashion Gala is always one of the most coveted tickets of the year. This time, the event was held in the company's new $30 million dollar flagship store and featured fashions by Diane von Furstenberg and performances by Cirque du Soleil's Corteo. Stars like Steven Seagal, who is in town to shoot a digital feature called Ruslan, stopped by. All proceeds support Arts Umbrella, Canada's centre for arts education. Meanwhile, local actors and VIPs were featured at the first annual World Red Cross Celebrity Soiree at Yaletown's Blue Water Cafe. May 8th marked the day as all 186 national societies honoured the Red Cross movement and the humanitarian efforts in local markets. Fabulous food, and interviews with the featured guests, helped raise money local programs, disaste response, first aid and humanitarian issues.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.
If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks. |
