Rear-Admiral T.H.W. Pile, Commander of the Maritime Forces Pacific, really knows how to celebrate Canada Day. And he should, given that he and his crew have the best party location in town aboard the prestigious HMCS Winnipeg. Anchoring just off the pier at Canada Place, the ship sailed into town for the holiday celebrations. Invited VIPs were treated to first class food and libations before watching the Canada Day fireworks from one of the best viewpoints in town. A big salute to everyone aboard for making it a very special night to remember. Also, summer patio celebrations got underway all across town. The gang at Cactus Club Cafe in Yaletown got things rolling with a patio party that featured items from Chef Rob Feenie's menu, and live DJ music that lasted well into the night.
