Voice actor/writer Seth MacFarlane, otherwise known as Peter, Stewie and Brian the dog on TV's hit series Family Guy, was the perfect choice as a host for last Friday's 2nd annual Elan Awards. The red carpet event and awards show was all part of the Canadian Awards for the Electronic and Animated Arts (CAEAA) which honours animators, voice actors, video game producers and more. A VIP reception at the Sutton Place Hotel was followed by the awards at the Centre for Performing Arts where MacFarlane didn't disappoint. He closed out the show by calling on his alter-ego Stewie to sing a song thus ending the evening on a high note. And speaking of high notes, sultry singer Karen Holness and her Jazz Baby band were featured in more ways than one this weekend. The group, who just performed at Century Plaza's Beyond Restaurant and Lounge, will soon be featured on ET Canada who was in town to film song segments on Saturday night. Could a Juno be far away?
