Johnny Depp - eat your heart out! There's a new breed of pirate in town and they're nothing but a bunch of do-gooders. Dressed in their bucaneer best, the gang at the 18th Annual National Bank Financial Easter Seals Regatta & Festival set sail on the high seas all for the benefit of the kids at Easter Seal House Vancouver. Rolicking and rowdiness ensued back on shore as the maurauders and their mates partied in the park outside the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club sharing some sun, some fun and some rum. Congrats go to Astral Plane, a J109 skippered by Adam Korbin (see photo), for being the fastest boat and also to top fundraising skipper Rick Reynolds, of Occam’s Razor, who raised $8,800 without even making anyone walk the plank. In total, over $210,000 was raised for the kids. Great job mateys! Next, we make the switch from rum to vodka and follow the trail to Yaletown and the always trendy George Ultra Lounge where nymphs and nighties ruled at the Midsummer Night's Dream party. Prizes were handed out for best legs, best lingerie and best shoes (which went to a girl wearing plain brown boots???). But the big winner this night was the extra-exclusive, luxury brand vodka Hangar One whose luscious flavours have earned it Vodka of the Year awards from both Food & Wine and Wine & Spirits magazines. Bottoms up!
