I've always known Vancouver and Whistler to be a great place for chefs, restaurants and foodies alike, but this month, maybe in anticipation of 2010, it seems like both Whistler and Vancouver are gearing up for the big time. Whistler's famous Cornucopia festival of food and wine didn't fail to disappoint as it featured world-class winemakers dinner and more featuring chefs like Bearfoot Bistro's Melissa Craig and Araxi's James Walt. David and Manjy Sidoo, owners of Vancouver's Lumiere, held a private reception at their stunning Whistler residence to introduce New York sensation Daniel Boulud who will work with chef Dale Mackay here in Vancouver. And everyone who's seen the chandeliers lit up from Georgia street knows that construction of the new Shangri-La hotel is on schedule and due to open up in January with powerhouse chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in tow. Meanwhile, a last shout out goes to the gang at the new 100.5 The Peak radio station who blew the roof off Seasons in the Park last week with a live launch and world rock format that is sure to climb to the top of the charts.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.
If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks. |
