Vino Virtuoso - A Night on Pointe was an elegant and emotional gathering held last week at Buschlen Mowatt Galleries. Presented by Ballet British Columbia, the evening featured fine food, fabulous raffle prizes and two stirring pas de deux performances produced especially for the intimate art gallery setting. The evening culminated in a grand prize draw for artwork by Vancouver's own Tiko Kerr. Also, last week, contestants at Ceili's Miss Hawaiian Tropics contest got closer to the sun as preliminary judging took place. The top two winners, chosen by yours truly and a panel of other media VIPs, now advance to the finals. And finally, a big shout out to Lisa Petersen, Cat's Plus One winner, who came out on special assignment this week on behalf of Metro. She pulled double duty taking photos and names and was a big help - check out her included pic. Congrats.
