The historic Rio Theatre, at East Broadway and Commercial Drive, first opened its doors in 1938. Once called "The Showplace of Vancouver", the vintage, single-screen movie house was recently acquired and renovated back to life by Vancouver businessman Mukesh (Mike) Goyal. The history remains, but the theatre now sports new equipment, some of the most comfortable seats ever and a strict "no commercials" policy. A special VIP opening celebration took place last Friday night where invited guests were treated to a special screening of "Mission: Impossible III" complete with popcorn and prizes.

Due to server capacity, you will

With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would
quickly exceed the amount of memory needed. If you would like to receive a copy
of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the
details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number
and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for
security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures
to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo.
Thanks. |
