Three years ago, a fellow journalist, friend and North Shore resident was diagnosed with cancer. But Malcolm Parry, whose popular Vancouver Magazine / Vancouver Sun columns were among the first of their kind, does not back away from challenges and today has bravely battled back into fine form. "Mac" was fit to be tied last Wednesday at the Century Plaza Hotel's Beyond ultra lounge (owned by West Vancouver's Sergio and Wendy Cocchia) where the Vancouver Board of Trade held a special cancer fundraiser and 70th birthday party in his honour. The "Up Parryscope" event was a who's who trip down memory lane where both guests, and Mac himself, got a chance to roast and toast each other till they were done - or well done in this case. Congrats to everyone involved.
