West Vancouver's new Kay Meek Centre is a crown jewel for performing arts in the community. Its main theatre stage has already hosted many world-class concerts and events but last week marked yet another milestone. Last Friday night, dignitaries, VIPs and board members gathered to cut the ribbon on the Kay Meek Studio Theatre which opened to the public with a performance of Canadian playwright Norm Foster's comedy "Office Hours". The intimate 200 seat space may be smaller than its 500 seat sister stage upstairs, but it's still big on talent as proven by the Theatre West Van performers who took to the stage in a big way claiming it as their new home, finally, after 60 years. Watch for more from them later this year as they celebrate this diamond anniversary.
