North Shore Women's Centre Vagina Monologues

Feb 19, 2005

By Catherine Barr

V-Day is much more than a day to end violence against woman. Just ask the North Shore Women's Centre and they'll tell you that the violence continues every day, all over the world, and that it must be stopped. V-Day celebrations began in 1998 as a result of Eve Ensler's ever-popular, and sometimes shocking, "The Vagina Monologues" play. So what better way to keep the message alive than with a special performance/fundraiser at North Van's Centennial Theatre. A sold out show, complete with reception, cocktails and silent auction items, helped support the North Shore Women's Centre and their message to not forget V-Day and its significance.

Catherine Barr, Vancouver's celebrity events reporter and photographer, is supported online by CLR Communications Ltd.

Vancouver's best events and celebrity functions are all archived here. Vancouver pubs, clubs, nightclubs, gala events and fundraisers are included. Thanks for viewing.

Due to server capacity, you will not be able to access or click through to the larger photographs. With over 250,000 unique visits each month, our site would quickly exceed the amount of memory needed.

If you would like to receive a copy of a photograph, then please send an email and enclose the details of the event, the date, the name, the photo number and the names of the people in the photograph. Also, for security reasons, I prefer not to email copies of pictures to anyone other than the people who are actually in the photo. Thanks.
