It was the chance of a lifetime for
North Shore guests who attended at the Sutton Place Hotel on
Sep. 7 for a very special United Way fundraiser. The "Step
up to the Plate" event attracted hundreds of hockey fans
to meet Mr. Hockey himself, Gordie Howe. A book signing during
cocktails was followed by a special speech, fashion show
and a casino night featuring Canucks' players as dealers.
Benefitting the Success by Six
United Way program, the evening was a spectacular
star-studded celebration that one will never forget. Congratulations
to all involved.
