Lonsdale Quay Salmon Festival

July 5, 2003

By Catherine Barr

Something fishy was happening last Saturday at Lonsdale Quay as local celebrity chefs got together to compete in a summer salmon festival that was nothing short of wild. Members of the Nisgaa Gitksan supplied the salmon and the entertainment while judges sampled gourmet creations and visitors got a chance to feast from the grills. The spoils for the winner: a grand prize dream fishing vacation. Proceeds raised were donated to the CKNW Orphans' Fund. Congratulations to all involved.
