LAST week started out stylishly with a trip to Holt
Renfrew on the 13th for the launch of Yves Saint Laurent and their exclusive
line of beauty products, handbags and more. Champage, nibblies and attractively
thin models (do these girls ever eat??) left us all smiling. Speaking
of smiles, once a month the gang at Urban Well (downtown location) will
be holding a celebrity roast. CityTV meterologist Marke Driesschen was
the first roastee last Wednesday, and weathered the storm nicely in
support of his favourite charity, BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
The foundation was also the recipient of the proceeds from Sensations
2002, held Nov. 14 at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event featured too many local celebrities to mention, fashion shows,
food and lots of live entertainment. It held up to its name and was
truly sensational. And if that wasn't enough for one evening, later
that same night, advertising execs toasted and awarded each other at
the Bayshore as the Lotus Awards recognized those outstanding individuals
who work hard to catch our attention. |

Peeking through the bars at her YSL displays
was Anne Tillman-Graham who came to Holt for the big launch.

Lotus awards host and Global sports anchor Squire
Barnes found himself in a very enviable position as the painted
ladies from Paragon came in for a cuddle.

Proud mother-to-be Janella Griffiths and husband

You go girl. Entertainers Willie Taylor (left),
Mandy Kamp and Carlotta Gurl are true Hollywood glam. Sensations
2002 would've been a real drag without them. |

Hats off for Avant Garde's Julie and Jon Paul
Holt, the super-sensational masterminds behind the Sensations
2002 event. |
