World Partnership Golf

THE skies were blue and the sun was shining brightly on the course at Swan-E-Set Bay as organizers greeted car after car of North Shore golfers, all on their way to swing the clubs for a very good cause. The 3rd Annual World Partnership Golf tournament (an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation of Canada) took place on Aug. 22 in an atmosphere of utter civility. An outdoor brunch and reception was following by an afternoon of golf and games where everyone was entered with a chance to win. A dinner reception followed, complete with appetizers and cocktails, and then the prizes. DVD players, televisions, trips to Europe and more added to the glamour of the day which helped raise over $104,000 (net total to date) for poverty alleviation in Asia and Africa.
