EVER had Chicken Koobideh before? How about some Kookoo Sabzi? These were only two of the delicious dishes served to guests at the recent celebration of the North Shore Multicultural Society's 10th Anniversary. Held at West Vancouver's Alborz restaurant, the evening began with dinner followed by greetings and then speeches from some of the community's political leaders. Music and dancing followed in what amounted to an evening of fellowship and education. The society provides immigrants with services like orientation, customs, rights and also offers classes in ESL and employment programs. |
