Night in Bordeaux

SIPPING wine and browsing art were what it was all about last Sunday evening as the Seymour Art Gallery presented A Night in Bordeaux - An Evening of Art and Wine. North Vancouver's Cheers restaurant was the perfect venue for guests, patrons and their friends as this truly French style fundraiser got underway. There was live music, a silent auction, a live art auction, dinner and, of course, wine tasting throughout the night. People even dressed the part, donning everything from berets to feathers. Check out the scenes below.

Auctioneer John Noonan was only too happy to help guests spend their money.

Looking very ooh-la-la, Elaine Minichiello (left) and Angela Jackson played the part well.

Ron Jackson (left), Carol Ward and Tony Minichiello sat with friends at a sundrenched table near the back.

Bidding on the symphony and theatre tickets were John Langill and Kelly Marshall.

Event chair Kelly Wood was every bit a femme fatale wearing feathers and sporting a thigh-high garter.

Meeting new people was also part of the fun as Beverly Johnson and Don Andrushko will tell you.

Al Argent (left), Lea Milley and hubby Bruce were happy to lend their support to such a great event.

Inspired by Moulin Rouge, and looking very chic, were Pat and Bonar Lund.

Carole Jamieson was happy to accompany husband Bruce, who just happens to be one of the gallery's directors.

Florence Allardice, seen here with husband Donald, is vice president/secretary.

Suzan Badgley (left), daughter of gallery gal Carole Badgley, came all the way from Korea to attend the event and visit with her folks.

Director and local realtor Dave Lund did his part by selling raffle tickets and raising funds.
