LGH Golf Tournament

HISTORY was made in West Vancouver on June 23 as the members of Capilano Golf and Country Club, for the first time ever, openly welcomed a group of virtual outsiders to their prestigious course. The 6th Annual Lions Gate Hospital Foundation Golf Classic teed off a new tradition that they say will help make them the "number one golf fund raiser in Canada". Thanks to the generosity of several local companies, the club members, and one very anonymous donor, this year's proceeds will go towards a much needed urology x-ray/fluoroscopy table. It's a day of fun like no other and one which I'm already looking forward to for next year. A big thanks to all the volunteers and committee members for everything.

A big kiss and cuddle to my golf partners, Dr. Les Janz, Denis Russell and Garth Olmstead, three club members who play a heck of a ball.

Hiding behind the trees watching for that hole-in-one were volunteers Vickie Kish (left) and Patti Hatch. Unfortunately, no one went home with that new yellow corvette.

Stuart McNeill (left) and Glen Ferguson were only too happy to welcome the LGH gang to the club.

Drive for show, putt for dough. Vaughan Bruneau (left) and past chairman Peter Walton were looking good.
