Harmony Arts Opening Day

WEST Vancouver's Harmony Arts Festival got off to a grand start last Friday Aug. 2 as the opening night ceremonies attracted hundreds of people down to the waterfront. It all got going early at the Ferry Building with some food and wine, a craft fair and a mini outdoor concert by Sinfonia. Later, a walk down to John Lawson park saw Roy Forbes and Shari Ulrich take to the outdoor stage for yet another fabulous concert. Then, after dark, the movie screen came out for a showing of Moulin Rouge. And this is just the beginning. There's gallery tours, presentations, craft fairs, demonstrations, contests, more movies and concerts all week long, so don't miss out. Festival runs from Aug 2-11. Pick up a program guide or call (604) 925-7268 for more info.
