Big Brothers (and Big Sisters) is the leading youth mentoring program in Canada. Matching kids and adults together for a number of great programs is all part of their mandate. And like many good causes, fund raising plays a big role. That's where a group of local North Shore moms comes into the picutre. On Feb. 27, the gals got together at the Park Royal lanes to knock down some pins for charity. Close to $6,000 was raised through pledges and donations and, judging from the pictures, they had a pretty good time doing it. Congratulations gals. Are you thinking of becoming a big brother or sister, then call (604) 876-2447 for more info. |
