Block Party

GETTING together with neighbours and friends for a summer barbecue is nothing new, but the home owners of 800 - East 11th Street have managed to turn it into something extra special. For close to 17 years now the residents have held their own exclusive street party that lasts all day long. Starting early, the neighbours block off the street, then the fun begins with games and races and prizes. Dinner comes next with a big chicken barbecue followed by more games and live music, this year featuring some professional Salsa dancers. What fun.
