POWDERED wigs, lavish costumes and fine wines - this event had it all. The second annual Venetian Ball was held last Friday at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver and guests from all over the North Shore dressed up to attend. Benefitting the Italian Cultural Centre Society's renovation fund and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vancouver, the evening came complete with wine tasting, dining, dancing, silent and live auctions and live music. Marco Polo himself greeted us at the door alongside Giovanni Bellini and Casanova. Then later, BCTV's Tony Parsons and CBC's Glorai Macarenko took over as hosts. It was a truly magnificent costume party. |
