Under the Volcano

CATES Park in North Vancouver was the place to be last Sunday for the 12th Annual Under the Volcano Festival. It's definetly a different kind of gathering bringing together people from all walks of life. Colourful and somewhat controversial, the festival celebrates "art and social change" and features live music, speeches, displays, info booths, a daylight rave and much more. Close to 1,000 people made their way through the gates donating anywhere from $5 to get in. Chief Leonard George, of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation gave the welcome to start the day.
