from Japan, Akira Sato is the senior "sensei" of Karate BC. He
is proud to have the tournament named after him.

are a true dynamic duo. Chief referee Robert Shen is a mere 77
years young, while Norma Foster was the first woman to qualify
as a referee in the Karate Federation.

Kathryn Wong is just as cute as a button. But this little lady
can play it tough and took home a silver medal for high scores
in her Kata division.
