Peace Boat Soccer

THE West Vancouver United Soccer Club played host last weekend to a different kind of cruise boat passenger. The students aboard the Peace Boat, a kind of travelling cruise boat/school, arrived in Vancouver from Acapulco for a two-day visit. Part of their stay included a stop in Ambleside to play in the International Socccer Exchange Society's tournament. It was all for fun as players from North and West Vancouver helped raise funds on behalf of the Children's Hospital. Next, the boat is off to Russia before returning to Japan.
