Ambleside Croquet Tournament

THE fifth annual Ambleside Greens Croquet Tournament was held last Friday, June 1, at the Par 3 golf course at Ambleside Park. It's one of the most beautiful events around and all the money raised goes to support the Memorial Library Foundation of West Vancouver. Teams of four dress up in costume, or in game whites, and take to the court after a lunchtime champagne reception. Then there's a croquet demonstration, the tournament, cocktails and canapes, the championship match, the silent auction, then a four star dinner served by the Four Seasons Hotel. A live auction ends the evening in style.
