Caring for Cameron

CAMERON Blom is a six-year-old boy who was born with cerebral palsy. He is confined to a wheelchair, suffers from epilepsy and is legally blind. Still, as Cameron struggles to do what many of us take for granted, we come to realize just how much can be done when you combine the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. Last Sunday, over 500 participants showed up to take part in a 5K fundraising fun run called "Caring for Cameron". Monies raised will go to the family to help buy a special van equipped with a "power lift". Holly's Salon, North Shore Athletics and the North Shore News sponsored the event.

Carol Birge and her daughter Emma McLellan were making great progress in the race until they spotted a play park and confessed to stopping by to play on the swings.

He's the little boy that everyone came out to support. Cameron Blom and his mom Terri Baker send their thanks to everyone for their love and support.
