Vino Novello

ELAINE Henderson is one spectacular lady. She is the driving force behind many good charity causes, but this one tops them all. Ten years ago she came up with the idea of Vino Novello, a fundraiser for Sunnyhill Foundation for Children. The event is held at the Chateau Whistler and all kinds of North Shore residents drive up for a great mid-winter break. Vino Novello also showcases the new Italian wines and everyone looks forward to the tasting. A buffet dinner, entertainment and dancing are also part of the evening. Alas, this year, Elaine swears it is her last. So this column is dedicated to her and her family. But let's hope we can talk her into another one sometime soon.
