Michael Lawrence at the Park

 

THE annual Michael Lawrence Christmas Sing-a-Long is a tradition at the Park Royal Hotel. Every year, people line up for hours to get a seat to see the venerable, multi-talented singer who used to entertain there nightly throughout the eighties. I can truly say that I've never seen a performer who has such as loyal following of of fans. Shout out your requests, he can play them all. On Friday, Nov. 22 and the place was jumping. The Park Royal Hotel, which will remain open throughout the upcoming summer season, always has great live entertainment so stop by or call them at 926-5511 for more info.

He's much more than a pretty face. Michael Lawrence is an accomplished musician and singer as well as a computer genius. He is truly a living legend in these parts.

NS Newsroom editor Michael Becker's Christmas wishes came true a few years ago when he met West Vancouver's loveliest graphic designer, Tracy Forbes.

For ten years, Sherri Boehlke worked at the hotel. That's where she met her main man, Chris Berg.

Sharon Cocomile works in the News' editorial department. She and David Pidduck came out to celebrate.

Christmas is a time for getting together with friends. Richard Lindsay and Michelle Owen showed up to join in the fun.

It was anything but a Silent Night for this gang. Singing out loud was (from left) Naz Goudarzi, Peter Stiven and Cathy Larkin.

Kathy Stiven (from left), Scott Campbell and Rudy Hertzog are loyal patrons of the hotel. They have been coming to see Michael perform for years.

And there was lots of dancing and clowning around, especially when it came to "The Twelve Days of Christmas". Kim Gunn and Scott Sanford sure had a good time.
