Last Time at the Avalon - Catherine Barr

NORTH Vancouver is changing fast and things are going to look and feel just a little bit different. The Avalon Hotel has been a North Shore mainstay for close to 40 years, but now its doors are closed forever. The newest owners (Mark James and company) have some spiffy new ideas for the site, but there's no doubt that the old place will be missed. On Sunday afternoon the staff got together to reminisce about their days at "the Av" and no matter where they go from here, they will always have some fond memories to look back upon.
